Join the Association of Universalist Women for a rejuvenating weekend of fun, fellowship and relaxation! Focusing on balance and achieving what Emerson called that sense of "divine unity", the retreat will be an opportunity to participate in workshops, guided meditation, yoga, art projects... or perhaps just a chance to carve out the quiet time you've been seeking. Taking place from 5pm Friday, April 13 through 1pm Sunday, April 15, 2012, the retreat will be at lovely Koinonia Retreat Center near Annandale, MN, nestled between woodlands and the calming waters of Lake Sylvia.
The Retreat costs $205 for non-members and $175 for AUW members for two nights' stay and five meals. Carpooling options and scholarship opportunities will be available. More details and materials will be available at the Hub when registration for AUW members opens on Sun February 12th.


Koinonia Retreat Center
Koinonia Retreat Center is located on Lake Sylvia, surrounded by 114 acres of Old Prairie, Big Woods, and lakeshore. It is 80 miles northwest of the Twin Cities, near Annandale. Accommodations
Retreat participants stay on site, with the majority in semi-private rooms with shared bathrooms. A small number will stay in a hostel-type dorm. All meals from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch are provided. Carpooling options will be available.

- Its wood-fired sauna holds 10-15.
- Its outdoor labyrinth is based on the Chartres Cathedral pattern.

Most Direct from the Twin Cities (approx 80 minutes)
-- Head west on State Highway 55 to 2.5 miles beyond Annandale. (Note that near Annandale, 55 joins up with Hwy 24.) After Annandale, you’ll pass Montgomery Ave, Nevens Ave. Next is Oliver Ave.
-- Turn left (south) on Oliver (also called Cty Rd 3) and drive 0.4 mile.
-- Turn right (west) on 80th Street (big Koinonia sign). Continue one mile.
-- Turn left (south) on Pilger Avenue and in a minute you’ll see the Koinonia driveway (big sign).
The main parking lot is beyond the Main Lodge, on a little rise.
